Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Appoints Barbara Kleban to Co-Managing Broker of Evanston Offices
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is proud to announce Barbara Kleban has been appointed to Co-Managing Broker for the company’s two Evanston-based offices. The announcement was made by President and COO of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Fran Broude, the North Shore Regional Vice President, Patrick O’Rourke and current Managing Broker, Cornelia Steffes.
Kleban has been a licensed Realtor for the past four years, and after gaining a wealth of experience practicing real estate full time with a top producing real estate team in Chicago, she transitioned in 2010 into the role of working with agents to grow their business through online marketing, social media, branding, and new technology tools for Coldwell Banker’s North Shore and City regions. She has been very successful in both the North Shore area and across the company coaching agents and teaching managers about the importance of digital interaction and using social media tools with clients.
Kleban and her real estate deals have been featured in local notable publications such as Crain’s Chicago Business Magazine, Chicago Magazine, and Chicago Agent Magazine. In 2011, Kleban had the honor of being one of the finalists for the Inman News Top 100 Influential People in Real Estate. She has gained a following of Realtors throughout the country on her own personal blog, YouTube channel, Facebook, Twitter, and is currently featured as a regular online blog contributor for Chicago Agent Magazine.
Both Broude and Steffes are excited to see Barbara move into this next stage of her career and wish her well in her new position. Steffes, the award-winning Managing Broker who has led Coldwell Banker in Evanston for more than 30 years and will continue to be the Co-Managing Broker with Kleban added that “we’re delighted to have Barbara take on this new role and are eager for her to be a leader in our North Shore region and Evanston offices. I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Barbara over the past few years and I felt that she was the right person for this job. I know this will be a smooth transition for the company and I am happy to pass on the torch to her.”
Coldwell Banker’s two Evanston offices currently operate with 112 licensed brokers whose commitment and dedication have driven Coldwell Banker to buying and selling the most homes in Evanston this year compared to any of their competitors.
“Working with real estate brokers to grow their business has become one of my passions. I plan to continue this work, expanding the Evanston offices with new and experienced sales associates who are looking to springboard to the next level in their careers. I’m looking forward to working more closely with the current Evanston associates and continuing the tradition of excellence established by current Managing Broker Cornelia Steffes,” says Kleban.
Kleban is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and is very active with the C.A.R. Young Professionals Network. In her spare time, she also performs opera at local venues, is a dog lover and college football fan.
