EVANSTON DENTIST WANTS TO KEEP ALL HIS TEETH
Evanston, IL, January 31, 2012: Local dentist Robert Stephens of Stephens Dentistry will be heading up to Eagle River, Wisconsin on February 3, 2012 to participate in USA Hockey’s invitation only Pond Hockey National Championship.
As both a drop-in hockey player in the Winnetka Park District and an Evanston dentist who just completed Invisalign invisible braces, he is acutely aware of the precautions needed to protect his smile and save his teeth.
Dr. Stephens recalls showing up to work with his friend waiting at the door, tooth in hand after a late night game. “We fixed him up and made him pretty again.” But after that morning, Dr. Bob makes sure all his “old school” skating friends wear full cages and custom mouth guards.
We wish Dr. Stephens and his team great luck and success up in Eagle River. A great reminder to all athletes: mouth guards save teeth and smiles and sometimes a trip to the dentist!
