UPDATE: Classmates Say Pipe Bomb Casualty 'Not Into Explosives'

The decapitated man found in Evanston identified as 21-year-old Colin Dalebroux.

UPDATE 2:49 p.m.:

Rico Corona, one of Colin Dalebroux's classmates from Madison West High School, said it was hard to believe that Dalebroux was involved in a bomb explosion at Fitzsimmons Park on Tuesday morning.

"(It's) truly shocking and puzzling," Corona said.

While he said he did not think Dalebroux would have been involved in making a bomb, he believed that at the very least the device found near his body was not intended to harm anyone.

"I'm sure it probably was something that he was experimenting or tinkering with because Colin really wasn't a malicious person."

"He really was a nice person, smiled a lot, funny, quick with a joke, and just down to earth in general," Corona added.

UPDATE:

Kate Santarius, who said she has known Colin Dalebroux since kindergarten, said he was "all around a really good guy" who was "definitely not into explosives."

"He seemed to me like a pretty typical teenage kid," said Santarius, who said she was not extremely close with Dalebroux but hung out with him occasionally. "He never seemed out of the ordinary."

Santarius attended Madison West High School with Dalebroux, and said he was a funny kid who was well liked by his classmates.

She said people who knew Dalebroux were shocked to hear of the news, especially since it seemed so out of character.

"He's from a great family and they're some of the nicest people I know," Santarius said.

Earlier:

John Reynolds remembers fellow student Colin Dalebroux as "a nice guy, laid back."

The pair were Facebook friends and attended Madison West High School together in Wisconsin, Reynolds said.

"He was quiet, but he came out with friends," Reynolds said.

Dalebroux, 21, was identified by the Evanston Police Department as the man found dead in a pipe bomb incident Tuesday. His body was shirtless and decapitated.

Reynolds said Dalebroux's latest Facebook updates were "nothing unusual. He asked if anyone was gonna be in Madison last weekend. And he said he wasn't gonna do homework. And he hasn't posted anything since the 9th."

On his Facebook profile, Dalebroux listed his interests as "Working Out, Girls, Video Games, Movies, Sports, Partying, TV, Friendship, and Just Hanging Out."

Among his favorite movies: The Hangover, Fight Club, Transformers and Superbad.

Evanston Patch also discovered what appears to be his online gaming profile, which indicated that he had spent hours playing war games such as Counter-Strike and Battlefield 2
