It appeared the last batch of baked goods were about to be sold at Rose’s Wheat Free Bakery and Café. The Evanston shop which features gluten-free items was set to close on Christmas Eve, but to the delight of owner Rose O’Carroll as well as her customers and employees, a last second investment thwarted a Scrooge-like close.

Lake Forest resident and entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis stepped up at the last minute and invested $200,000 into O’Carroll’s struggling enterprise so the doors could remain open and the employees can keep their jobs, according to the Evanston Review. Lemonis read about the impending closure of the bakery on Facebook.

Lemonis told WGN Television that he is making O'Carroll a partner by getting rid of the debt and will be looking for ways to make the shop a profitable operation.

Lemonis has appeared on the reality TV show Secret Millionaire and is the CEO of Camping World. He was born in Lebanon during the Civil War that ravaged that Middle Eastern country before being moved to Miami at nine months of age.
