Evanston Reporters Talk $25M TIF, Grading Teachers

Local journalists talk about the latest Evanston news on the ECTV show "The Reporters." Discussion includes a $25 million tax-increment financing district at Chicago and Main and teacher evaluations in District 65.

That includes the city council's approval of a $25 million tax-increment financing district at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Main Street, with revenue earmarked for infrastructure improvements and a proposed office building.

It also includes discussion of grading teachers in District 65, where the school district must comply with a state mandate to evaluate teachers based on student performance. 

Evanston Now's Bill Smith moderates, with panelists Shawn Jones of the Evanston Roundtable, Charles Bartling of Evanston Now and Jenny Fisher of Evanston Patch.

The show is streamed live on cable channel 6 on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. and on Thursdays and Saturdays at 6 p.m.
