Five Men Arrested After Stealing Hair Weaves, Police Say

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Five Men Arrested in Hair Weave Theft

Five Chicago men were arrested and charged with retail theft after they allegedly stole Saki hair weaves, hair grease and hair clips from a business in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue at 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, police reported. Those men include Ken A. Mattel, 18, of the 7200 block of South Wood in Chicago; James McDavis, 18, of the 8000 block of South Evans in Chicago; Sean L. Porter, 19, of the 3100 block of North Broadway in Chicago; Sylvester Scarbrough, 24, of the 2900 block of North Sheridan in Chicago; and Anthony White, 22, of the 4900 block of West Huron in Chicago, according to police.

Two Charged With Domestic Battery

An 18-year-old Evanston man was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, police reported.

A 34-year-old Chicago man was arrested and charged with domestic battery on Wednesday, Nov. 7, police reported. 

Man Stabs Victim on Emerson

A known offender stabbed his victim between 12:40 and 12:51 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the 2100 block of Emerson Street, police reported.

Toyota Stolen on Central

Someone stole a grey 2005 Toyota RAV4 with the license plate EV2519 from a business parking lot in the 1000 block of Central Street at 6:31 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, police reported. 

Burglar Attempts Entry on Central

Someone tried to pry open the door of an apartment building in the 2300 block of Central Street between 7 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, police reported.

Woman Bumps Victim on Church

A known offender bumped another person on the shoulder at a medical office in the 600 block of Church Street at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, police reported.

Thief Steals Hair Weaves, Granola, Pizza

A man stole two boxes of granola bars and a slice of pizza from a grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue at 6:18 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, according to police. 

Nutritional Supplements Stolen From Apartment Common Area

Someone stole nutritional supplements and other personal items from the common area of a condo or apartment building in the 1500 block of Hinman Avenue at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, according to police.

...i would have given them a jar of bacon grease for free. would have made their hair probably look better. btw, what the heck is 'hair grease'?
