Whether you're an Evanston business owner, resident or employee of a local business, you probably have an opinion about economic development in the city.
This coming Friday, May 18, is your opportunity to voice your thoughts, as part of the city's Economic Development Summit 2012.
On Wednesday, the city announced that it was extending the deadline to register for the event until this Monday, May 14. You can do so online via the city's website.
The summit runs from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. Participants can sign up for multiple different sessions on local business sectors, including health, the arts, tech businesses, retail and education.

Evanston extended the registration deadline for the Summit to May 14th, but the article says that the Summit will occur on March 18th. Hmmm. . . the Evanston public school system strikes again.

Thanks for catching the typo. We sincerely regret the error! But don't blame Evanston Public Schools...blame the public school system in Amherst, MA, because that's where I went. Or just blame me!

Sully, you still can't shoot straight. Amherst, MA is in Massachusetts-the state which elected Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and Barney Frank to represent its citizens in Washington. Given that track record, more than likely the schools in Massachusetts are just leftist re-education camps like those in Evanston.
Sully, the people in "redneck" Florida are wonderful-they can actually think for themselves (and, like you, don't need cue cards to tell them what to think). I officially become a resident of the State of Florida this afternoon. Thumbs up.
