Evanston firefighters extricated one man from his car and sent him to the hospital after a rollover car accident at Lake Street and Ridge Avenue Friday morning.

Two cars collided at the intersection some time before 10 a.m. Friday, according to fire officials. One person was treated at the scene, while firefighters extricated a second man from his vehicle. They immobilized that man and sent him to the hospital to be treated for shoulder pain.

Traffic was re-routed for an hour following the accident, according to fire officials.
