Orrington Hotel Could Be Up For Sale
Nearly 100-year-old luxury hotel may have new owners soon.
The Hilton Orrington Hotel in downtown Evanston may be on the shopping block.
ChicagoRealEstateDaily.com reported Friday the Connecticut-based owners of the 269 room hotel have hired a commercial real estate firm in Los Angeles to sell the property. The ownership known as Greenfield Partners LLC purchased the hotel in 2003 and converted it into a Hilton in 2010.
The hotel opened in 1925 and is the destination for many visitors year round given its proximity to Northwestern University and the heart of Evanston.
