The cozy 35-seat restaurant, which opened in early February, features a menu inspired by crêperies found in Brittany, France. All crêpes are made with 100 percent organic buckwheat flour, and both sweet and savory options line the menu.

“Here people are used to wheat flour crêpes which traditionally are reserved for dessert,” Berthoumieux said, according to a Downtown Evanston press release. “Although we will prepare any of our savory recipes with a wheat flour crêpe upon request, I encourage them to at least try the buckwheat. They just hold up better to the richness of the savory fillings.”

Berthoumieux said the crêperie already has a steady base of loyal customers who frequent the eatery.

The restaurant also has a small patio section in front.
