Police Called After ETHS Teacher Injured in Student Fight

The school is reportedly not pressing charges.

Police were dispatched to Tuesday afternoon in response to a report that a 14-year-old male student had attacked a teacher.

A bulletin posted at noon today on the school’s website stated that a teacher sustained injuries while attempting to break up a fight between two students.

Police said that no charges have been filed yet.

The students involved in the altercation were removed from the school following the fight, and the school reported it would pursue disciplinary action as dictated through district policies.

It is unclear what injuries the teacher sustained, but police spokesman Perry Polinski said that the teacher did not require medical attention.

Police were called to the north side of the school near the field house at about 1 p.m.
