Police Pursue Vehicle Suspected in Homicide

Police pursued a car on Saturday that fit the description of one involved in a homicide, according to Skokie police officials, and Evanston police officers picked up a passenger.

Police followed a car into Skokie Saturday that matched the description of one involved in a homicide, according to Skokie police officials.

The driver bailed, Skokie police said, but Evanston police picked up the passenger.

Skokie police officers helped to canvass the area for the driver, according to Skokie police officials, but did not assist in a chase.

Reached via e-mail Sunday afternoon, a spokesperson for the Evanston police department said only that the agency had “no information on it at this time.”

Patch will update this story if and when further details become available.

Poorly written.
Awkward, run on sentences.
The reader bailed.

I'd like more information. That was short and lacked any detailed information. I am trying to look into who the victim was and there is nothing in this article.

Hoopy, I wish we had more information to provide. This is all we've been able to obtain from the Evanston and Skokie police departments. We figured it was better to provide what information we had than none at all.

I know what the author should do! They should just make up the information! Why not? Evanston is acting like they have no idea what is going on. I love the internet - everyone is an expert all of a sudden!

You know what I got from this article? A murderer escaped the Evanston Police Department. That's probably why they are being so tight lipped. Keep up the good work Patch.

Why are we so critical? I understood perfectly well as to what the article conveyed. The write-up may have been short, but informative nonetheless.

So are the police finally admitting that Evanston is overrun with gangs? I remember reading them saying we didn't have a gang problem.....Like 3 or 4 murders ago.
And a gun buy back offer for $100...Like trade in a couple of 20 dollar Saturday night specials, And get enough cash to buy a nice 9 mm ?

JC didn't say Evanston didn't have a gang problem, he said he read where Evanston was saying they didn't have a gang problem. I know there was a time that Evanston paid Northwestern $10,000 to conduct a study on whether they, Evanston, had a gang problem.
