Whole Foods Unveils New Mural On Chicago Avenue Store

Whole Foods highlights local vendors in August and this year the Chicago Avenue location in Evanston decided to do something special.  The store held a contest to find a local artist to paint a mural on a blank wall to the left of the shop's entrance.

The winning mural, titled "Local Love", was designed by area artist Robert Stevenson.  Stevenson usually paints smaller works also doing comic books and is actually a sign maker at the other Evanston Whole Foods location.  His design won by a decisive margin.

"The theme was local products, local business...and what it takes to start and support local business,"  stated Stevenson.  "It's about the love it takes to start business."
