Police: 13-Year-Old Robs Cabbie, Group Mugs Victim on Dodge
Two robberies took place in Evanston on Wednesday, July 26.
Two robberies, one allegedly involving a 13-year-old boy and the threat of a gun, took place on Wednesday, according to police.
The first robbery happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to police. In that incident, a taxi driver picked up a 13-year-old boy at the Howard CTA and took him to the 1800 block of Hovland Court, the Evanston Review reports. The boy allegedly reached forward and put his arms around the driver’s neck, then threatened to shoot him, according to the Review.

In the second incident, four men allegedly threw their victim to the ground in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue at about 3:30 p.m., near Evanston Township High School. The robbers stole an Apple brand red and black cell phone case, police reported.
