Anybody who is a regular reader on Patch knows that we love the polls that Editor Jennifer Fisher posts from time to time.

The polls seem to attract a lot more responses/comments than any other sort of article. There is some kind of phenomena going on here.

Why do we respond so well to these polls? Why do they get our interest? What need do they fill for us? What is it about the interactive nature of the poll that is attractive to us?

So, this is a poll about polls...
