Good morning, humans of Evanston:
Well, it happened again yesterday. They got all excited about something that I just don't understand. All day, I kept hearing them talk about Transit this, and Transit that, so I thought they meant the Ridge Avenue Bus or the Evanston Express.
But then, my "DAD" (he loves when I call him "dad" - I think it is inappropriate and asinine) took the big tube he points at the sky some nights and attached this whit glass glove on one side. Then they actually pointed this contraption at the sun (I am guessing looking at the sun isn't good for…it makes me sneeze) and saying things like "There it is!" and "Isn't this amazing".
Dad lifted me up so I could see it. He pressed my nose close to the globe. I yawned. My Dad thought I was looking at this thing, but I was really looking at the squirrel on the fence.
One of the neighbors came by and said something like "We won't see this for another 105 years." Hey, in dog years I will be 735 years old! So, right, I am REALLY looking forward to that!
Forgive my sarcasm. It's a common trait of lab-whippets like me. Besides, I still don't see what all the hubbub was about. It is not like they were looking at the Dog Star!

Hello, Shadow T Dog!
I can't tell you how excited I am that we have a dog blogger. This totally made my day! I hope you'll post more like this.

Jennifer - I will keep the reports coming. I get around Evanston quite a lot. Maybe I can be your "Pup Reporter"? I have to admit it does slow me down having to type on the keyboard. Paws just weren't designed for data entry. My dad, though, has promised to buy me some Dragon Dictation Software - that will make things considerably easier for me!
Arf!
