DESCRIPTION:The Evanston Public Library (EPL) is delighted to host an ast
 ounding interactive oral history exhibit on the immigrant experience cou
 rtesy of Changing Worlds. The exhibit will be housed on the third floor 
 (east-end) from June 18th-29th. This event is co-sponsored by the City o
 f Evanston Parks &amp\; Recreation.\nThrough the stories of immigrants a
 nd refugee families\, Changing Worlds' oral history and photography trav
 eling exhibit gives voice and a face to those often seen and heard throu
 gh the filters of stereotype and prejudice\, and offers an introduction 
 to diverse cultures. For 15 years\, Changing Worlds has partnered with m
 ore than 50 public schools\, community-based and civic organizations in 
 Chicago and beyond. Annually\, it reaches more than 10\,000 students\, a
 nd community members through its combined arts and cultural awareness pr
 ograms.
