DESCRIPTION:The urban farming concept is spreading fast\, but it's not ne
 w. There are those who remember the victory gardens that were planted d
uring and after WWII in order to help supplement families' rationed foo
d supplies. Families\, groups and organizations pooled their resources
and started these vegetable gardens so that the bounty could be shared
amongst them. Not only was this considered patriotic\, but these garden
s helped to feed Americans during a time of sacrifice and need. People
in cities grew vegetables in back yards\, vacant lots and anywhere they
could find space.\nRegister now for a class to learn the basic practic
es of vegetable gardening. The delicious "fruits" of your labor can be
on the dinner table in a matter of seconds during the harvest season. T
