Library Offers Free College Counseling Programs

There's lots going on at the library, including a free screening of Despicable Me this weekend and a series of college counseling programs in September.
Coming Soon: College Counseling
The library will host a series of programs for parents and teens on the college admission process, financial aid and community college options on Saturday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 4. Register in advance online.Programs include:
- "P.A.S.S.: What Do Colleges Want Anyway?" at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7
- "P.A.S.S. Community College - You Might Be Surprised" at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7
- "P.A.S.S.: How Do I Start? Preparing for College for Juniors" at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14
- "P.A.S.S.: College- Who's Going to Pay for All of This?" at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14
This Week at the Library:
- Teen DIY: Found Poetry Teens in grades 6-12 create poem collages in this workshop on Tuesday, Aug. 13. Register in advance online.
- Teen DIY: Paper Roller Coasters Teens in grades 4-8 create roller coasters out of paper. Register in advance online.
- Despicable Me See the children's film at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, and Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Main Library. Free.
