Smylie Bros. Brewery Anticipates Spring 2014 Opening
Smylie Bros. Restaurant and Brewery will offer locally brewed beer and regional American food at 1615 Oak Ave.
Next spring, Evanston residents can look forward to sitting on the patio of Smylie Bros. Restaurant and Brewery, enjoying some locally made beer.
Owner Michael Smylie, who lives in Winnetka, is planning to open the 10-barrel brewhouse and restaurant at 1615 Oak Ave. in spring 2014, according to the brewery's Facebook page. He told Patch this summer that the brewpub will include five or six of Smylie Bros. own brews on tap, along with brews from other Great Lakes brewers, including new Evanston brewery Temperance Beer.
The regional American menu will include Texas-style barbecue, pizzas, charcuterie platters, steaks and fish.
