Vote For Your Favorite Snowplow Painted by Evanston Students

Vote online for your favorite snowplow blade, painted by Evanston students in the city's annual "Paint Evanston Plows Contest."

The following press release was submitted by the city of Evanston:

Eight of the City of Evanston's snow plow blades are looking particularly festive in advance of the winter season, thanks to some teachers and students from eight schools in Evanston who are participating in the city's Paint Evanston Plows Contest. The contest is open now through 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013.

The City of Evanston Streets and Sanitation Division annually invites all public and private schools in Evanston to paint murals on the blades of its snow plows for its annual Paint Evanston's Plows Contest. The Division dropped off a plow blade and paint kit at each school and encouraged the students to show school spirit, city spirit, holiday spirit or winter spirit. This year's theme is “Get Active: Walk, Run, Play."

The following schools are participating in the contest: Dawes, Lincoln and Lincolnwood elementary schools; Chute, Haven and Nichols middle schools; and St. Athanasius and Bessie Rhodes schools.
