Call Out The National Guard To Deal With Local Gun Violence

Well..it seems that even liberal Chicago politicians have a penchant for shock and awe.....Rep. Monique Davis has requested that Gov. Quinn literally deploy the Illinois National Guard and Illinois State Police in Chicago to deal with gun violence...you can read about it here. 

Maybe the National Guard patrolling the streets around ETHS would send the right message to the neighborhood...it certainly won't help our taxes....but, it will certainly do more to prevent gun violence than an assault weapons ban..and their presence might prevent the rioting after George Zimmerman is acquitted.

Its rather ironic that even Rep. Davis adds a cautionary demand at the end of her request "However, she said that if these state personnel are called in, a special commission must be set up to make sure they have clear orders on what to do each day.We don’t want them to have us fearing them also,” she said.

Hmm...maybe have the National Guard go door to door, house to house searching for illegal weapons and drugs. Perhaps she is on to something.
