Illinois CCL Training - There IS AN OPTION

I am pleased to announce that both NRA Basic Pistol and Illinois Concealed Carry License training are now available to Evanston residents with classes held locally through Phalanx Training Inc., with training provided by instructors who are both NRA certified, and licensed by the Illinois State Police. The two day training meets the legal requirements to obtain an Illinois Concealed Carry License ["CCL"].

The first eight hours [which can be waived for certain license holders, and those with a DD-214]  gives students the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol or revolver safely. It will better prepare law abiding citizens to apply for the new Illinois Concealed Carry Permit when it becomes law. Student will learn about handgun parts & operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and future shooting activities. Student will complete classroom and hands on practice using a state-of-the-art laser trainer for "DRY FIRING" to verify skills prior to the range.

The second eight hours focuses upon the Federal and Illinois laws regarding deadly force, firearm drills & skills including drawing from concealment, and qualification at a local range.

We take firearms training seriously and reserve the right to limit enrollment in courses to those eligible to own a firearm in Illinois legally. As such, you must present an Illinois FOID or other state CCW license, or complete an electronic fingerprint submission [which we do NOT receive] to attend the course. If you are interested in the course or have further questions, please feel free to contact us at info@phalanx-training.com. We have programs to reduce our fees to encourage participation for those that might otherwise not be able to participate in the class.
