29th American Craft Exposition Celebrates Beauty - Hand-Made in America

The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) at Evanston & Glenbrook Hospitals presents one of the country’s most distinguished craft shows, the American Craft Exposition (ACE). Showcasing the country’s finest handmade jewelry and art objects from world-renowned craftspeople, this juried indoor exposition and sale of fine craft includes one-of-a-kind pieces, luxury collections and uniquely creative artwork. Funds raised at ACE 2013 will support pioneering research at NorthShore that is already showing promising results in preventing ovarian cancer in at-risk women. This year’s exposition will be held from August 22 to 25 at the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion (2311 Campus Drive, Evanston, Illinois 60208).

A nationally recognized and celebrated event, the American Craft Exposition features distinctive pieces made in America, from the country’s leading artists and more than a dozen emerging artists showcasing new achievements in jewelry, ceramics, metal, fashion wearables, glass, furniture, fiber decorative, leather, wood, mixed media and baskets. ACE is the only volunteer-produced Exposition of its caliber in the country with more than 100 volunteers working year-round to present this amazing show.

The 2013 ACE Co-chairs Leslie Sevcik of Evanston and Dana Turban of Northfield are proud to be leading this award-winning event benefiting ovarian cancer research at NorthShore. “ACE offers such a unique opportunity to shop for exquisite and exclusive items, and actually meet the artists behind the work,” said Turban. “This event has become a staple on the North Shore for art and fashion lovers who are also interested in supporting an important cause in their community.”
