Rotarians Keep Golf Road Clean

(Evanston, IL) – Volunteers from Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club performed their quarterly Golf Road cleanup on Saturday.  Organizied by Sam Lovering, the volunteers scoured the roadside area between McCormick and Crawford, picking up about 80 pounds of trash including a pair of men’s pants, a credit card, hundreds of cigarette butts and a Rotarian who had expired during the last clean-up event four months ago.

The ELRC meets Tuesdays from 7:15 to 8:30 am at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1818 Maple Avenue, Evanston, Illinois 60201, for breakfast and  a speaker.  Membership is open to service oriented residents and workers of the area.  Guests are welcome to attend the meetings.  To learn more about the club’s schedule of breakfast programs and its charitable and service programs, visit www.evlrc.org.
