Diane Wright Wins Award at Justin Wynn Event for ESCCA Service

Diane Wright was the recipient of the Buddy Portugal Award on May 5th at the Justin Wynn Leadership Academy's annual awards event. She was recognized for her many years of service to ESCCA (Evanston School Children's Clothing Association) on behalf of the youth of Evanston. Diane gave a lovely and touching acceptance speech which included a shoutout to Ellie Feddersen, who shares the recipient scheduling duties for ESCCA. Diane is pictured with her daughter Kelsey. Congrats Diane!  Now everyone will know how hard you work and how much you care.

The Evanston School Children’s Clothing Association (ESSCA) provides a full wardrobe of clothing and shoes for over 600 D/65 Evanston/Skokie children in need each year. Clothing assistance services are performed efficiently and discreetly, always keeping the dignity of the families in mind.

Currently, the inventory of large sizes, particularly sizes 14-18 are very low. Anyone who wishes to donate “gently used” jackets and snowpants may drop them off at any District 65 school or at the ESCCA bin behind the District 65 administration building at 1500 Mc Daniel Ave. Monetary donations are always appreciated. Please visit info@escca.org for more information.
