Emil Bach House by Frank Lloyd Wright on Sheridan Road Now Open For Summer Rentals

Architectural master Frank Lloyd Wright’s Emil Bach house will make its international debut. The newly renovated house has been restored and updated to allow design aficionados and visitors an opportunity to experience the style of the celebrated architect. The private residence will serve as a luxury vacation rental and event space and stands to be one of only a handful of Wright homes available for overnight guests.

Originally built in 1915, the Bach House, unlike many other Wright properties, sits on a small city lot along a busy urban setting. The shape of the structure gives it dynamic qualities with the house being one of a short series of cubic, geometric, slab-roofed homes designed in the early twentieth century. The property is located at 7415 North Sheridan Road in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood. The Bach House was designated a Chicago Landmark September 28, 1977, and entered into the National Register of Historic Places January 23, 1979.

Upon the unveiling, the newly renovated Emil Bach House will offer three luxury guest rooms with modern amenities for the global traveler and guest. Living and dining areas will be accented with well curated objects and furnishings juxtaposed to highlight the history, architecture and craftsmanship of Wright. Nestled a few feet away from the main house is a Japanese Teahouse for intimate gatherings and entertaining. It will serve as a lounge and bar area with Shoji screens that open into the garden and terrace.
