Fountain Square Art Festival June 28-29 in Evanston

Evanston’s 35th Annual Fountain Square Festival, a kaleidoscope of art, food and music, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 28 and 29.  The festival, in the heart of downtown Evanston, features over 200 hundred artists offering a wide area of art:  photography, jewelry, metalwork, paintings,  sculptures, to name a few.

In the new FamilyFest Activity Area kids (and adults) will have a ball creating a variety of art projects under the creative guidance of the Evanston Art Center.  An interactive puzzle created by Evanston’s Bottle & Bottega and Good’s of Evanston promises a surprise conclusion to the festivities.

• There’s music from noon ‘til 5:30 each day, featuring etc.music school and jazz impresarios Craig Brenner, Fred Simon and an Evanston favorite, BMR4.   Food, beer and wine from J.T.’s,  Farmhouse, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Tomate and World of Beer will keep festival goers well fed.   Outshine fruit and veggie bars and Cupcake Wines will be sampling festival goers.
