Gilhool intends to speak to the Northwestern College students and faculty as well as local business leaders about how to build individual success strategies. As the economic downturn has challenged many cities and businesses, she will further challenge businesses (as well as students preparing to enter the workforce) to overcome these challenges and strive for individual as well as business success.

Gilhool is a specialist in diversity and global rights for women.  She is currently involved with the Clinton Initiative and is a published author for Forbes as well as her own books.  Most recently, she is Founder & CEO of Pink Streak Ink, a company developed to serve individuals, companies & organizations to increase transparency and elevate their profile to drive a more inclusive, engaged & productive constituency. It does this by utilizing tools and programs to help diversify product offerings, influence policy making and create an inclusive leadership and work environment. Gilhool is also the Creator & Founder of the Detroit Social Impact Zone Initiative, which is an out-growth of Pink Streak Ink; it has a mission of creating economic growth by bringing women and men together to spur innovation, support entrepreneurs and small businesses and to increase public service via a social impact zone developed through partnerships with individuals and organizations with a commitment to inclusivity.
