Hopefully, you can join us at Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky’s Annual 2014 Women’s Democratic Power Lunch, with Lizz Winstead, co-creator of The Daily Show and political satirist, who will take us to new levels of Chicago Democratic Political Fun!
As a co-host for this event, I would love to have you join me at my table with other liberal progressives, as we gather to discuss the state of our Democratic Party and what we believe in as Democratic Woman of the Party.
This event is a way to meet new people and hear new ideas. It also serves as a way to see people, who perhaps we haven’t seen in quite some time. As many who have joined us at past luncheons will attest, previous events featured a bustling ballroom filled with many politicians, business men and women dashing around chatting and debating with each other. And, there’s always an air of optimism, fun and light-hearted joy in the Hilton ballroom, which this year promises to be even more heightened with Liz Winstead as our speaker. I mean, who doesn’t love The Daily Show and how it provides the best news and humor in television, at the same time!!!!!
