JUF's Camp TOV in August offers FUN volunteer opportunities for teens!
The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago is offering an amazing opportunity for Jewish teens entering grades 7th-10th to take part in a variety of hands-on volunteering projects through Camp TOV! Camp TOV takes teens to more than 10 different agencies around greater Chicago and allows them to experience volunteering and community service with a range of activities. Some of the projects include serving meals at homeless shelters, sorting donations at a food bank and a book bank, making wheelchair paths on the grounds of a Children’s Hospital, and spending time with residents at an elder care facility. Two one-week sessions are offered during the weeks of August 5th-9th and August 12th-16th. Teens earning community service hours can earn more than 22 hours in just one week! Registration and more detailed information are available online at http://www.juf.org/teens/camp_tov.aspx. Sign up before July 24th to reserve a spot!
