Kiwanis Scholar Athletes Number 123

 The Kiwanis  Club of Evanston  honored two more scholar-athletes on Tuesday, Jan. 28.  Despite the extreme cold, Will Jones (Basketball) and Ashley Fox (Cheerleading and Badminton) and their parents made it to the Celtic Knot for a hearty meal and the admiration of all those in attendance.   Will and Ashley are the 122 and 123rd  scholar-athletes recognized with the Ted Van Zelst Award.  Ted, a member of the club, was an outstanding businessman and engineer, a patron of the arts and a tireless advocate for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

The students received a certificate recognizing their accomplishments, a book on leadership signed by President Jim Wolinski and a $25 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble.
