It’s not a business meeting, it’s not a networking event, it’s the 4th MashUp, a unique opportunity for Evanstonians in government, business, arts and education to mix, mingle and mash it up.
Under a moonlit sky on the shores of Lake Michigan, guests will enjoy music, food and conversation on Tuesday, September 17, with a line-up including the Northwestern University and Evanston Township High School cheerleaders, live music by SPACE

With over 80 hosts from all sectors of Evanston, the evening also spotlights the Catalyst Award presented by Mayor Liz Tisdahl and Northwestern president, Morton Schapiro. For their cutting-edge Science, Technology, Engineering and Math learning opportunities, a collaboration between the Office of STEM Education Partnership, Northwestern University and Evanston Township High School earned the 2012 Catalyst honors.
In addition, the Corrine Passage Spirit of Evanston Award honors an Evanstonian who has performed outstanding service to the community or an individual. The award honors the memory of the late Ms. Passage of Pivot Point International. Ms. Passage was one of the original founders of the MashUp. This year the Award will be crowd-sourced with nominations collected from Evanston community members.
Numerous Evanston restaurants will be dishing up their best for a delicious Taste of Evanston, including Bluestone, Bravo! Cucina Italiana, The Celtic Knot PublickHouse, , Chicago’s Home of Chicken & Waffles, FEW Spirits, Hecky’s Barbecue, The Garden Grille at the Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Orrington, Koi, Maggiano’s Litte Italy, Nevin’s Brewing Company, Oceanique, The Little Mexican Café, The Peckish Pig, The Stained Glass, The Cellar at the Stained Glass and World of Beer.
