McGaw YMCA gets grant from Humana, Inc
The McGaw YMCA has received a grant from Humana, Inc as part of their Affordable Health Care Act Education Sponsorship initiative. As part of helping both individuals and employers understand what the provisions of the act will mean to them, Humana will deliver a total of three seminars with the support of the McGaw YMCA.
These seminars will be open and free to the community, and will cover questions people may have on whether their current plan might change, whether they will be able to get individual coverage, and what kind of assistance might be available to help make the cost of coverage affordable.
The grant will also support the ability of the McGaw YMCA to make programs and activities that support the health of our community affordable to all. The McGaw YMCA provides $1.39 million per year back to the community in the form of program and membership scholarships.

Announcements will be made during the coming months on the location and content of the seminars, with the first one expected in the Fall. The public is encouraged to attend and learn how to make the changes in the healthcare system work best for them.
