The award named for the late Ms. Passage, senior executive at Pivot Point Academy and co-founder of the MashUp, celebrates a person who embodies the mix of qualities that makes Evanston a special place. The Award spotlights an Evanstonian who has demonstrated courage, vision, compassion and creativity. Previous winners include Dan Coyne who donated his kidney to his local Jewel-Osco cashier, Myra DeLaVega, and Corrine Passage who was the driving force behind Pivot Point Cares for Kids which has raised over $1million for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The award is open to Evanston residents but nominations can be made by both Evanston and non-Evanston residents.
