Northwestern College’s Chicago Campus Collecting Goods for Philippines Relief Effort Following Typhoon
[Chicago – Jefferson Park, IL] Northwestern College’s Chicago Campus (4829 N. Lipps Avenue) is currently taking collections for the relief effort on behalf of the people of the Philippines who were hit by the typhoon last week. Wilda Tutol-Ortiz of the Admissions Department is spearheading the effort to gather assorted items which she will deliver this weekend to the Northwest Filipino Baptist Church. The church will forward the items to the Philippines. Final donations must be deposited in the collection boxes around the College’s Jefferson Park campus by Friday, November 15 at 3:00 pm.
Donations needed for the victims include: bread; canned goods (foods that are ready to eat and can be opened without a can opener); medicine - basic medications such as Tylenol, aspirin and medicine for surface wounds; bottled water; candles and matches; clothing for adults, kids, toddlers and babies (summer clothing only); and sandals.
