The Associate Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem Celebrates "An Evening Under the Harvest Moon" at 9th Annual Benefit

On Saturday, October 19, 260 members, friends and supporters of The Associate Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) gathered at The Langham, Chicago’s newest luxury hotel, for the organization’s 9th annual Benefit, “An Evening Under the Harvest Moon.”

Guests of the fundraising fete indulged in upscale appetizers and cocktails, as well as a decadent dessert bar featuring signature Chicago sweets like Eli’s Cheesecake, Firecakes Donuts, Ann Sather Cinnamon Rolls, and more. In addition to the fabulous fare, guests enjoyed an evening of dancing to the sounds of Dot Dot Dot, one of Chicago’s most celebrated local bands. A stellar silent auction and NorthShore’s ever-popular “Head & Tails” raffle game, along with the tremendous support of the Benefit’s generous sponsors, helped the event raise more than $60,000 to support the Department of Pediatrics and the Infant Special Care Unit (ISCU) at NorthShore Evanston Hospital.

Funds raised will be directed to several programs within the Department of Pediatrics and ISCU, including Mother’s Milk Research, Cerebral Palsy Research, Neonatal Social Work Research and the Associate Board Emergency Family Fund. Established by The Associate Board, the Fund provides vital assistance to families of children in the ISCU who are struggling to actively parent their hospitalized infant due to severe economic difficulties. To date, The Associate Board has raised more than $500,000 to support these worthy initiatives at NorthShore.
