Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center Honors Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky at Benefit June 20

Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center's annual benefit "Celebrating Stories of Recovery" honors U.S. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (Evanston) for her commitment and support for comprehensive, high quality mental healthcare for everyone onFriday, June 20 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Additional honorees include First Bank & Trust Managing Director Jay Lytle (Evanston), Turning Point Therapist Julie Rooney and Shure, Inc. Senior Software Manager and Electrical Engineer Paul Rooney (Chicago).  "Celebrating Stories of Recovery" Benefit is at Westmoreland Country Club, 2601 Old Glenview Road in Wilmette. "This year's benefit highlights the themes of recovery and resilience, something our clients see in small and significant ways every day on their road to recovery," said Turning Point CEO Ann Fisher Raney. "Every day, someone you love or someone you work with or someone you know struggles with a mental illness and we want to honor both those working to improve their own lives as well as those advocating for quality mental health care access for all."

The Benefit begins with an hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer reception and silent auction from 6 to 7:30 p.m. followed by the presentation to honor Schakowsky, Lytle and Julie and Paul Rooney. In addition to the presentations, "Celebrating Stories of Recovery" Benefit features a unique video booth, "One-Minute Tips for Mental Health", where attendees can offer their personal ideas of how to stay happy, healthy and resilient. The Benefit also features a lively musical performance by the Julian Chin Trio.
