Youtube Boogie-Woogie Piano Sensation with link to Frederic Chopin and 2.5 million views to perform at Evanston’s ‘THE MUSICAL OFFERING,’ October 25th 2013 @ 7:30pm!

Attorney turned Boogie, Blues, & Ragtime musician, Matthew Ball aka The Boogie Woogie Kid will heat up the piano keys at Evanston’s The Musical Offering this Friday, October 25th 2013 @ 7:30 p.m.

Today with almost 2.5 million youtube views of his past performance and at home video footage, Ball has truly become a phenomenon, with descriptions of his performances like “Awesome!” “Crushing!” Fantastic!”

He also boasts a pedagogical link to Frederic Chopin himself!, having studied classically at Oakland University in Rochester MI with Dr. Flavio Varani.   Professor Varani traced his pedigree of study through the Paris Conservatory back to Frederic Chopin by way of Magda Tagliaferro, Alfred Cortot, and Emile Descombs, who was a late pupil of the composer Chopin.

Suffice to say you won’t want to miss this toe-tappin’ program of family piano fun featuring classics like Swanee River, Over the Rainbow, The Entertainer, Bumble Boogie and so many more!  Here are the details:

Matthew Ball left a career as an attorney in 2001 after he attended a local boogie-woogie festival, to become a blues and boogie-woogie man.  Now, after a decade in the field, with an array of accomplishments, he has distinguished himself as ‘one of the best’ practitioners of the genre today. Described as ‘a nationally emerging boogie-woogie master,’ Matthew is becoming one of today’s leading performing authorities on this treasured American tradition.
