Days After Shooting, Community Rallies Again to Stop The Violence
The vigil was held in response to a recent shooting at McDonald's.
Two days after a at 1919 Dempster Street, members of the Evanston community gathered to reflect on the situation and send the message that the violence needs to end.
The vigil was held on the corner of Dempster Street and Dodge Avenue, and about 100 people showed up.
The 16-year-old who was shot is currently in stable condition, according to Evanston Police Chief Richard Eddington who attended the event.

The vigil occurred about a week after the newly formed group Moms: Save Our Sons intended to send a similar message.
