Eight Evanston Bloggers You Should Know

We’ve got plenty of Evanston bloggers contributing to our Local Voices section, including opinion on local politics, advice on the Evanston real estate market and finance tips from a pro.

Is fluoride actually good for kids? ? Should we be auditing the Fed? Pianist, singer, composer and musical director June Shellene will make you think.

2. Jennifer Wilson Takes On Cardinal George 
Evanston mom Jennifer Wilson’s post about Cardinal George and gay marriage generated more than 180 comments. She’s also written about the craziness of raising teenagers and her objections to the Twilight saga. 

3. William Gaul serves as a wealth advisor for the Trust Company of Illinois and raises his four children in Evanston. JJ Hanley founded JJ’s List to help make local businesses more accessible to people with disabilities. Now she’s blogging on Patch about big news in the world of accessibility and Evanston businesses who are make a difference, like Curt’s Café.

7. A Local Acupuncturist Gives Lifestyle Advice
Mark Sobralske is an Evanston acupuncturist and herbalist with Red Coral Acupuncture who has written about boosting immunity during cold and flu season and how to effectively change a habit. He’s also executive director of the Himalaya Project, a local charity formed to help provide education and health care in the Himalayas.
