It's Thursday, Let's Dance!

Now in its twelfth year, It's Thursday, Let’s Dance!will be heating up downtown Evanston on six consecutive Thursday nights: July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, August 11 & August 18th.  The only outdoor dance floor north of Chicago is conveniently located at 909 Davis St. Plaza, Maple Avenue and Church Streets, at the Davis St. Metra stop. Look for the dance party between American Apparel and Chef’s Station’s outdoor patio.

Each week features dance instruction from 6:00-6:45 p.m. followed by live music and dancing from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The event spotlights a different dance style each Thursday with musical genres including: R&B, Latin, swing, jazz and Big Band. Downtown Evanston, the organization that manages and markets the downtown district, presents this series to bring people out to enjoy its entertainment and many unique restaurants and shops.
