Project Fashion Camp Evanston Exhibit

Move over, Project Runaway! We've got the Evanston Art Center’s Project Fashion Camp show!

Aspiring local designers ages 10 to 13 spent the summer learning the ropes of fashion design at the Evanston Art Center’s Project Fashion Camp. Students learned everything from how to draw the fashion figure and illustrate their own creations to selecting a design theme, color, and fabrics to create simple pieces. As part of the program, the group reworked and constructed garments to be presented as a cohesive fashion collection. Selected garments from the collection are now in exhibition at Maya Papaya & Tony Macarony, a children’s store located in Evanston’s Central Street.

Stop by to see the fabulous fashions created by these young aspiring couturiers; now through September 4th.
