Evanston Community Foundation to Offer Leadership Classes

Application deadline is July 15.

From the city of Evanston:

The Evanston Community Foundation would like to invite members of the Evanston community to participate in the 2011-2012 class of Signature Leadership Evanston, a 10-month experience which encourages and develops leadership potential and community engagement. The 20th Leadership Evanston class will:

  • learn more broadly and deeply about our community,
  • train in community leadership skills such as conflict resolution, advocacy & community organizing, creative problem solving, consensus building, strategic planning and board training,
  • make connections and continue to build a network of engaged community leaders.

Leadership Evanston has graduated over 500 individuals who serve the community on boards and commissions, as elected officials, and in leadership roles in faith communities, social service, education and other organizations. After graduation, participants join an active alumni organization where they continue to meet new people and engage in our community.

Leadership Evanston selects a diverse group of people who are representative of our community, live and/or work in Evanston, and have displayed the capacity for leadership. Deadline for applications is July 15.
