Evanston Native Named 'Hot Husband' Finalist

This ETHS class of 2002 graduate has been named a "foxy finalist" in a Redbook Magazine contest.

Evanston's own Blake Wallace has been named a finalist in Redbook's 2012 Hot Husbands competition.

Wallace was one of thousands of initial entries and is now one of only 25 finalists (to vote for him, click here to visit the contest site). The contest winner receives a beach vacation for two.

"Blake has always gotten double looks whether it be from a teenager in the neighborhood or looks from the members of a senior center we sometimes volunteer at, and everyone in between," said his wife Tamara Burns Wallace. "But beyond being an attractive man, he is a generous, patient, kind-hearted man.  Everyone who meets him knows he is a wonderful person. He is hilarious, he is a hard worker and he is supportive of me, and most of all he values marriage."

Wallace attended Walker Elementary School, Haven Middle School, and was a member of the Evanston Township High School class of 2002. He was also on the swim team at ETHS.

Tamara Burns Wallace said she's become what she calls a "pageant wife" in the wake of the contest, and is pushing for a win. In addition to enjoying the vacation prize, she said she'll parade her husband around a bit (which - it should go without saying - would be to the benefit of onlookers who will get to lay their eyes on America's hottest husband).
