Evanston Sees Significant Drop in Foreclosures
They're down 21 percent in Evanston, compared to 16 percent overall in northern Cook County suburbs.
Foreclosures fell significantly last year compared to the year before, according to an article in the Evanston Review.
There were 316 foreclosure filings in 2011, which represents a 21 percent decrease over 2010, the article stated. While that's good news for the real estate market, that's still more than three times the number of foreclosures that there were in 2005.
