Evanston's Fountain Square Art Fest is This Weekend

That means fun, plus street closures. Here's the info you need to know.

The 35th annual Fountain Square Art Festival is this weekend. That means lots of arts, crafts for kids, food and music. But also some street closures and bus rerouting. You can read more about the fest here.

And here is information from the city:

Street Closure and Bus Reroutes in Effect for Fountain Square Art Festival

To accommodate this weekend’s Fountain Square Art Festival, Sherman Ave., from Davis St. to Elgin Rd., will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 5 p.m., Friday, June 27 to approximately 6 a.m., Monday, June 30.

The CTA’s #201 Central/Ridge and #205 Chicago/Golf bus routes will be rerouted around the festival. See the CTA Service Bulletin for detailed reroute information.

Located at Sherman Ave. and Church St., the Fountain Square Art Festival is one of the largest and oldest fine arts fairs on Chicago's North Shore, featuring the works of more than 150 juried artists, a popular children’s art tent with fun activities overseen by the Evanston Art Center, some of the area’s best food, and a soothing jazz-centric music lineup. Festival hours are Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For more information about the festival, visit the Evanston Chamber of Commerce’s website, at www.evchamber.com.
