Everyone Out of the Water: Evanston Beaches Closed for E.Coli

Beach-goers are not allowed in the water Tuesday, but they can enjoy the sandy parts of city beaches.

High levels of E.coli bacteria are the reason Evanston beaches are closed Tuesday, July 1, according to a city press release.

Beach closings because of bacteria mean swimming is prohibited, but people are allowed to enjoy the sandy areas of the beaches.

Go to the city's beach page for more information and updates today and throughout the summer.
