Famous Names Tweeting over Dajae Coleman's Death

NBA players Deron Williams and Tyson Chandler have tweeted. In addition, petitions are asking LeBron James to pay attention to the death of the Evanston boy who was shot and killed Saturday. James was reportedly Dajae Coleman's favorite player.

It’s not just Evanston area residents who are moved by the shooting death of Dajae Coleman.

Tweets and Facebook posts from around the country mourning the up-and-coming basketball player are pouring in, including some from online posters with famous names.

Evanston Township High School, where Coleman was a freshman, has retweeted posts from Twitter accounts bearing the names of famous people, including  NBA players, Bulls announcer Stacey King and more.

Friends, family members and even strangers also are petitioning another famous NBA player to pay attention to the death of Dajae Coleman. They are circulating a few petitions, hoping they will catch the attention of Coleman's hero LeBron Jamaes. One asks James to give to the family for funeral costs, and bring attention to the story so another tragic death like Dajae Colemen’s doesn’t happen in another community.

So far this petition has 2,413 supporters, and the number is growing by the hour.

Another petition simply asks for James to acknowledge the loss through a tweet or video clip, or anything honoring Dajae Colemann. So far, that request has 6,410 likes on Facebook, and is growing daily.
