Firemen, Neighbors Clean Local Park

Evanston residents teamed up with members of the Evanston Fire Department over the weekend to clean up and work on plantings at Fireman's Park.

"The park looks great and I was really impressed with the turn-out despite the lousy weather," said EFD Captain Marty Rafacz. "It's further proof that the park has really brought our neighborhood together!”

Evanston Fire Chief Greg Klaiber said Rafacz has been coordinating efforts with the neighbors to continue to improve the park, and noted that this will most likely be an ongoing program.
